Professor of Environmental Studies
John (Jack) was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 13, 1961 to Elizabeth and Fraser Mustard. He is number five of six children in the family. His family moved to Dundas, Ontario in 1968 and is where John grew up until leaving in 1980 to pursue educational opportunities in British Columbia, Canada and Rhode Island, USA.

Carol Hundal
Carol got her undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from Wellesley College in 2018. Her current research integrates spectroscopy, morphology, and stratigraphy to understand an important geologic unit in the landing site for NASA's Perseverance Rover which may shed light on Mars' mysterious history of volcanism.

Eashan Das
Eashan is a senior at Brown University concentrating in Geology-Chemistry with a focus on planetary science. My research involves using novel quantitative remote sensing methods to detect minerals in complex mixtures. I'm currently using Guided Endmember Extraction (GEEn) along with non-linear mixture modeling to determine the presence of sulfates in the Basal Unit and its connection to gypsum in Olympia Undae.

Justin Li
Justin Li is a student at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. He is a Social Analysis & Research concentrator at Brown, and a Painting major at RISD. In 2018, Justin founded Love to All Project, the world's largest LGBTQ-youth-led NPO, for which he currently serves as Executive Director. Justin is passionate about astronomy, product design, and developing enriching digital experiences for underserved communities.

I am a PhD candidate in planetary science and NASA Future Investigator at Brown University. I am developing a new remote sensing tool called “cross-over” spectroscopy to study the Moon’s composition. Previously, I have studied the geology of the landing site for the Mars Perseverance rover.

Tamara is a senior studying Geology-Biology. Her thesis is examining agricultural land abandonment in northern Bosnia using a Landsat time series. She is passionate about environmental science and conservation and hopes to pursue a career using scientific analysis skills like remote sensing to further sustainable and equitable relationships among humans and the rest of the environment.
